A warehouse facility spanning 8,250 sq ft required full removal of yellow industrial line stripes from the concrete floor. The client needed an effective solution, one that could meet strict safety standards for indoor work without creating harmful fumes, splashing, or damage to the substrate.
Surface Type: Concrete
Total Removed
6,942 linear feet
(~1,736 sq ft of paint removal)
Total Product Used
Transgel Paint & Graffiti Remover: 115 Gals
Vanish Graffiti & Paint Remover: 30 Gals
To cover such a large area the crew applied Transgel Paint & Graffiti Remover using an airless paint sprayer.
Transgel was chosen as the primary remover due to its thick, gel-like consistency, allowing it to swell and soften the paint before rinsing with hot water. Vanish Graffiti & Paint Remover was used in some areas to help dissolve residual and embedded stains that had soaked into the porous concrete over time.
"For an industrial application,
we need something that's really
strong. Since it's buffered and it's
a no-splash formula, it works the
best for results and work-site
safety."

Transgel was generously applied directly over the old striping with industrial sprayer and allowed proper dwell time to penetrate multiple paint layers.
Vanish was applied via a stiff-bristle brush to agitate the product, breaking down the bonds between the paint and the concrete and lifting remaining pigment, ensuring a uniform finish.
All of the old yellow stripes were successfully removed, leaving the concrete clean and even, with no shadowing or surface damage.
